Partners

Byron Bynum has over 30 years of analog circuit design and IC product development management experience. His career spans 10 years at Texas Instruments and 20 years at Motorola/Freescale. For a 10-year period he was a VP and director of product development for the analog products division of Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector, a company division that grew to over $1 billion in sales. He is a highly sought-after consultant in analog circuit design, trouble-shooting, and training.

Ryan Goodfellow has 9 years of experience in product definition, analog IC design, and system analysis of DC/DC switch-mode power supplies in the range of 1 W to 10 kW. Recently, he lead the development of several commercial power management products, including fully- and semi-integrated power stage ICs. In this role, he led a team of twelve engineers and support staff, and had responsibilities in IC design, IC layout, package selection, module PCB layout, qualification, and test. Mr. Goodfellow has been employed at Primarion, Cherry Semiconductor, and Analytical Engineering.

Erik McShane, PhD has 12 years of experience in low-voltage, low-power mixed-signal circuits (monolithic point-of-load power delivery, power monitoring circuits, and Flash ADCs) and their application to microprocessor embedded power management. Recently, he was a systems architect for a voltage regulator chipset with responsibilities in chipset verification, performance optimization, and technology selection. He has over 40 refereed publications. Dr. McShane has been employed at Primarion, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL/NASA), and Rockwell as a member of technical staff and in consulting roles.

Kevin Mori has 13 years of digital systems experience in developing and designing DSP-based products for DC/DC converters, wireless telecommunications, and data acquisition. Recently, he led the development of several power management control ICs for voltage regulator chipsets. In this role, he led a team of five engineers and had responsibilities in design, FPGA systems prototyping, synthesis and back-end support, package selection, and testability. Mr. Mori has been employed at Primarion, Motorola Space & Systems Technology Group (SSTG), Intersil, and SiCom Inc.

Malay Trivedi, PhD is a recognized expert with 10 years of experience in the physics of semiconductor devices (including lateral, vertical, and trench FETs; power bipolar and IGBT transistors; and SiN, GaN, and SiC materials) and their application to high-frequency power conversion and amplification. Recently, he led the design of the system architecture of a voltage regulator chipset with responsiblities in chipset definition, performance and cost analyses, DSP algorithm development, and project management. He has over 120 refereed publications. Dr. Trivedi has been employed at Primarion, Magnetek Inc., and Honeywell Solid-State Electronics Center (SSEC). He has also been a featured speaker at several premier IEEE conferences and presented a short-course on power semiconductor reliability.
